FE had tried so hard to outdone Ashnard in the crazy evil deadbeat dad villain department but they can't win, he was a dad for 5 minutes and singlehandedly ruined Soren's life. And he was actually fun as a villain unlike Garon.

In fact besides him, the only other father I think is worse in fiction as a whole is Kinzo Ushiromiya and just because he (Umineko spoilers) fucking r*ped one of his children, just because of that. He ruined not 1 but 6 children in a row, the fucking worst father ever

There's also a line which is 99% not supposed to be read that way but *could* be read as Ashnard being queer, and that's more than Garon will ever have.
