Creative Coding projects for initial and in-service teacher programs at UJ. These include, Coding Club for final year students and Creative Coding for Teachers

Short Learning Program : Creative Coding and Robotics For Teachers. Qualified teachers are invited to apply and register for the Short Learning Program about creative coding and robotics. Teachers do not need a coding experience /background to join this program.

They also expressed various reflections. Others felt like coding with Octo-Studio was easier, others felt like it was not. There were challenges here and there but we are confident that the buddies will overcome them and keep on creating wonderful projects.

2024 Pre-Service Teachers Coding Club: Exploring OctoStudio . Another session successfully concluded. Today we were doing story-telling on Octo-Studio together with our buddies. We have seen such creative ideas from our buddies.

Buddies expressed how they learned the importance of working together, being actively involved in the coding sessions and how the coding moved from easy to getting complex. Overall we had fun learning to code with our buddies.

We've seen projects based on littering, recycling, gender based violence and even the market day/ entrepreneur day at school. All these projects were created by the buddies (Pre-service teachers) in their breakout sessions.
