@TrxpleM see what I mean. He is good to have but he doesn't solve our problem. If we get a case replacement who can progress that ball at a slightly above avg rate we should be fine. Bruno can still help progress play when needed and we will be far more press resistant with kobbi

But not progressing the ball. That's why I think ideally we sign gomes from wolves in the winter window. Who is a solid progressor. Then you play him and mainoo and we should have alot more control. Bruno then goes to the 10 and cunha fights with mbuemo and sesko and mount.

I rate mainoo very highly. But objectively speaking he is a well below avg progress of the ball in terms of passing. Progressive carrying... One of the best in the world compared to other midfielders. But he doesn't make line breaking passes he is good for beating the press 1/2
Mainoo can play on the half turn and progress the ball better than anyone in the team so that point is mute. But I know you don't rate Mainoo like that and neither does Amorim (Which is precisely the problem). He actually thinks he has no other choice.

I think the reason why united looked so good this weekend is because Sunderland don't have an extremely strong midfield. So that and mount playing instead of cunha means our midfield wasn't run through like it normally is. Still a blaring weakness in the squad. 343 or not.
