Summer Intern Spotlight: Lauren Elgin . Lauren is a rising senior at the University of Delaware, where she studies marine biology and animal science. This summer, she is working in Dr. Jim Morley's Marine Fisheries Ecology Lab at CSI.

She and her colleagues compiled information spanning 30 years from all over the world to identify key habitats used by migratory marine megafauna species such as whales, sharks, seabirds, and turtles.

Impressive news! Dr. Lindsay Dubbs is among nearly 400 authors on a paper recently published in the journal "Science".

Since all 176 turbine pilings have now been installed, the group could visualize what the site will look like when the work is complete in 2026, and all left feeling inspired.

They learned about the project phases (starting as early as 2013), how the construction of the turbines and substations has been done, and the environmental precautions taken throughout the project.
