I played little league 🏈 & 🏀 at about $80 a season growing up and that was a stretch to the budget of a single mom raising 2 boys on 18k a year. Travel ball rates have priced out low income families. Then stigmatize the prospects who don’t have a travel team.

@Coachksteward Imagine telling your mom. I want to play on this team it’s $1k for team fees plus travel expenses and tournament fees, but this what I need for scholarship… meanwhile frig empty and electric bill late

@MisericordiaHFC I understand coach, I have 5 nieces and nephews. All plays sports, fees are crazy.
