Just filled out the form for remote learning for Fall 2020 for my six year old. I have no idea how to be a Teacher/ Assemblywoman but here we go 1st grade. The anxiety of being working mothers, elected leaders in time of pandemic and national uprisings is real. We got this ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ

It really is a difficult and somewhat of a false choice right . I mean if we want to keep our children truly safe how does sending them 3 days vs 5 days change anything. What about families like mine who have immunocompromised members ? This is hard!

It is a difficult situation that you & Jose have. My daughter & her husband decided he is staying home to teach their two children. Doesnโt has to be always Mom to take in that shore. Carmen We also need your leadership as an elected official.

Yes for sure! Luckily Iโm a great multitasker. It will be a new experience but nothing we as women canโt handle. Ultimately we will all be stronger bc of it !

Grateful that DOE is being flexible, since there's no great option. Sending mine into the maelstrom because 100% remote was inadequate for their needs. They're also suffering from the isolation. On top of that, we don't have a guarantee that we can work from home indefinitely.

Executive Order, mandate employers to allow employees to work from home where feasible? At very least until children can return to school on a full-time basis. Relying on the benevolence of businesses seems imprudent.
