A two-day training for sweetpotato vine multipliers from Eastern DRC kicked off today at CDPI! Led by CIP with INERA & RAB supported by the #B4WE project through PABRA & CIAT. Participants are eager to strengthen their skills in OFSP vine multiplication. #Sweetpotato #EasternDRC

Through our work on Orange-Fleshed Sweetpotato (OFSP), we are improving nutrition, food security, and livelihoods empowering rural households, especially women and youth, to grow and access more nutritious foods.

Today, @Cipotato joined @FAORwanda , @RwandaAgri, and partners @Taat_Africa in #Nyamagabe and disseminated #OFSP vines to celebrate #WorldFoodDay under the theme “Hand in Hand for better food and a better future.”

We are looking forward to enhancing our inclusion and removing barriers for people living with disabilities, in our trainings, extension materials and alignment with universal design principles in UNCRPD and Rwandan policies

Under @CIATB4WE21614 the climax of the training, at @RwandaAgriBoard, Rubona station, participants gained hands-on experience in building a sustainable #Sweetpotato seed system #OFSP, from tissue culture lab to screenhouse to field multiplication #FoodSystems @Cipotato.
