@ChrisMurphyCT When I was growing up...we NEVER had a worry about gun violence in school. This all changed within the last 10 -15 years....and now so common place we don't even blink about it...what has happened America?

@ChrisMurphyCT My daughter considers it when picking a seat in class (don’t be near the door) & knows escape route from every class. We have failed them.

@ChrisMurphyCT As a mom of a HS teacher it's a fear of mine too. She's an excellent caring teacher but she will leave the profession if she is ever required to arm herself in the classroom.

@ChrisMurphyCT I was astonished when my son told my wife and I he and some of his classmates were in fear of the school shooting. I just thought of what I feared when I was entering highdren school and being shot in school was never an issue. Why is it that so many of our children have to fear?
