Sarasota County (FL) School Board Chairman orders police to throw a citizen out of a Public Meeting because she was..."About to say something horrible...[About a School Board Member]" during her public comment.
How is this NOT a violation of the 1st Amendment?
TO BE CLEAR >
@SarasotaSheriff
Kurt Hoffman's Deputies were NOT involved at the School Board Meeting. Not their jurisdiction. Hoffman is A+
Here's what's crazy > The School Board created their own police force (accountable to them) and are using the force to shutdown parents.

Iโm going to carry my own personal PA system to the board meetings. We all should. They canโt cut off our ability to be heard when they feel challenged. I understand time limits, but Iโve seen too many of these members hit the mic cut off, not letting someone finish the sentence.
@ChrisMZiegler
What of Roberts rules of Order? Since when do our brother in blue illegally eject citizens from public meetings? Sad, really sad. Politics involved policing.
@ChrisMZiegler
This is ridiculous! How does that Board member have knowledge aforehand of what a person is going to say? AND it sounded like she was simply going to reiterate something that should be in the Meeting record of a prior School Board Meeting. Is this what the future holds?
@ChrisMZiegler
it's a prior restraint on citizens 1A free speech rights, which the Courts find abhorrent.
Depending on the jurisdiction, it may also violate open meeting laws
