It has been a great couple of days at the first U-CARE Venue since 2020! So many top notch speakers about how to reduce research waste. It was great to present findings from my PhD and meet some of the people behind work I have used in my research. #ucare #researchwaste

The voices of practitioners are not always heard in implementation. Kristian Hudson our implementation specialist interviewed four frontline junior doctors to find out what their experiences have been of implementation. Watch the podcast here:

How have I used implementation frameworks in my PhD? Two ways… 1) I used the CFIR to map barriers and facilitators to implementation of e-mental health interventions for unpaid carers in a mixed-methods systematic review. https://t.co/4O76LsdEm1

The last framework I will mention is i-PARIHS - another determinants framework https://t.co/nIS30XpXxl Facilitators guiding the implementation process are seen as a key ingredient for implementation. Plus there is a guide to help facilitators put the framework into practice.

For an implementation theory, Normalization Process Theory or NPT, has an incredible set of resources to help people use it in different types of studies. https://t.co/FFiCc2homh There is also a survey instrument to assess implementation processes!

My go to determinants framework is the #CFIR Not only does the CFIR have a codebook, it also has a tool to develop interview questions based on the framework's constructs. Plus you can link CFIR constructs with implementation strategies https://t.co/OB5HweagLa

First - there are SO many theories and frameworks! How can we make sense of them all? 🧐 This paper by Per Nilsen breaks them down into different types that can help you decide what framework or theory to use for your project https://t.co/QjlOVx33Qo
