Patient: "I'd rather go home. I have supplements that will make me better."
Me: "I'm worried. You're very sick."
Patient: "I don't feel sick."

Patient: "Ventilators are not good. They kill people"
Me: "I understand what you feel right now. Can I share what I know and what I see and hear?"

**I show her a chest x-ray of healthy lungs and compare to hers side by side**
**I place pulse oximeter on me and then on her**
**Silence...then tears**

Misinformation & disinformation is real.
While burnout & exhaustion from this long road is real for us as clinicians, we must dig deep and have compassion.

In this study, LatinX waited 1 extra day (compared to non-Latinx) to receive hospital COVID-19 care.
Following COVID-19 hospitalization, Latinx reported delaying ED visit 2/2 mistrust.
