I asked ChatGPT to tell me more about its first answer, and this is what I got: ***** Certainly, here are a few more areas of law that could be affected by the insertion of "durable relationships" into the Irish Constitution: Employment Law: Recognition of durable relationships…

@Casey5122dark @SJSK71216091 As someone who spent YEARS in court in regards to rights in regards to 'fully attested, durable relationship' I'm flabbergasted that the Irish aren't sticking with the EU (thus Irish) definitions that are already in place. This makes no sense. (Oh and I'm Irish as well)

@Casey5122dark The Supreme Court didn't have to rely on AI back in 2020, when it not only acted on a definition of a durable relationship, but made a declaration that there was no need to define it for legal purposes as the commonly held understanding of that phrase was sound in law

@Casey5122dark Love it! Cleary they haven’t got around to censoring these responses yet. Give it a week and you’ll find “I’m afraid I can’t answer that question Dave”.

@Casey5122dark ChatGPT has left the cat out of the bag. In the light of this information it would be extraordinary how anyone could vote yes. #VoteNoNo

@Casey5122dark Well done & Heavens Above!! Wonder if even a morsel of that impact has been considered, suspect not. For purely factual reasons it indicates sensible vote #No #No So much needs clarifying on impact, legislation of both topics before a referendum. Current, hurried & ill considered

@Casey5122dark "4. Immigration and Citizenship: Immigration and citizenship laws could be impacted by the recognition of durable relationships. Partners in durable relationships might be eligible for similar immigration benefits as spouses, such as family reunification or spousal visas." 🤔🤔

@Casey5122dark !! Now if only our Legislators had through to fire up the auld ChatGPT. Come to think of it, it would probably make a far better Government than the current Administration. At least 1 can argue with ChatGPT. And it apologies & learns from its mistakes! :)

@Casey5122dark They're going to stamp out the sanctity of the male-female marriage, to make room for all sorts of immortality. And then the laws will change.

@Casey5122dark Interesting exercise, and many of the comments also tie in with thoughts by a number of Irish legal experts. Starting to feel like the new proposed wording is flawed, which is disappointing as the spirit of the amendments were positive in many respects
