Welcome to Britannia in the village of Steveston right on the waterfront. Learn about the history of the Japanese fisherman and the Chinese workers over 100 years ago. #richmond is currently restoring the cannery buildings and soon we’ll have even more to see here in Britannia.

The Arts Connection in #richmond is accepting applications for Richmondite Seniors to tell their story and have their portrait painted. I was a participant and it was so much fun. Artists and volunteers take your picture and record your story. Deadline for registration Jan 10th.

The information night on Oct 28 explained the legal process to the people of #richmond. The Attorney General from the Province promised to work on the issue. The city, feds, Musqueam and Tsawassen bands have all appealed the courts decision to grant the Cowichan band land title.

The Richmond RCMP are here to serve and protect there is no such thing as a Chinese police station. Please do not be a victim in two weeks of August 6 people were scammed out of $560,000. They were told they would be extra to China if they did not pay bail money.
