Many are appalled by CBS's failure to properly caption Bad Bunny last night, but honestly this is a mood. @sanbenito opened the "Gringo Grammys" (as he calls it) by speaking non-english, wearing a non-outfit, dancing with non-celebrities and honoring what for some is non-music.

1) I bought a shitty little roomba to keep the dog hair at bay. 2) I do 85% of my work outside in my hammock. 3) I stay hydrated so when I have a breakdown at least I don't get a crying-hangover the next day. That's how we're keeping these seams together.

Thrilled to finally share this piece I wrote for @thenation about @DrMikeAmezcua’s Making Mexican Chicago! This is for the January 23/30 edition. Check out the essay, buy this edition of the magazine, and most importantly, read this phenomenal book. https://t.co/ViJiRv0AgA

From the machine politicians in La Villita to the radicals in Pilsen, Mexican Chicagoans have played a central role in defining their city.
