Much excitement about

' (which isn't a tax, nor under the local council's control). People are asking if 'the council' could introduce one in

, & have ideas on how to spend it. We say "Buses, please!" However...

What should have been built instead of the vastly more expensive and unwanted guided bus.

However, bus improvement can be delivered (relatively) rapidly and give an alternative to private cars, helping light rail/tram/metro 'business case', and building ridership whilst we still await the first 'spade in the ground' for light rail/tram/metro.
