This is the reality of what Austerity has done to the NHS. The next winter crisis is looking on track to be the worst ever. It might be your gran stuck on a trolley in a corridor - while Tory donors cream profit off the top.

A&E waiting times now are as bad as they were in the depths of the 16/17 winter crisis. The service is already in serious trouble. People will die as a result.

I started work in the NHS in 1978. In those days, Nurses were in “Sets” and mainly worked in Wards for MOST of their training (with classroom lectures kept to a minimum) When they qualified, they had experience in most wards and clinics... there were never nursing shortages !!!!
@CallumCant1
How true, Callum. What is astonishing is how interviewers typically let the Tory ministers get away with evading owning up to the crisis in the NHS and social care - through those deliberate Tory policies of underfunding NHS, local authorities and related services.
@CallumCant1
What is also depressing is how some well-heeled authors write to Guardian perpetuating the myth that Corbyn is anti-semitic and so they will vote for non-Labour parties that have deliberately instituted policies causing suffering, poverty and deaths, as Lancet papers/UN etc show.
