In the 🇵đź‡, my hope is that we fix the messaging. We alrdy have a law in place. We need to be clear & to push for THR, not demonize it. We're extremely lucky, but the work doesnt stop there.

I've bn to many conferences during my consumer advocacy journey, and this one is for the books! Lots of great minds & great hearts this bunch. Learned a lot too from fellow advocates from different countries, stuff I can apply in the 🇵đź‡. Tysm to TPA for this opportunity.🙏❤️
The @FCTCofficial’s worst nightmare. That’s a WRAP! ✅ We are so grateful to our experts from 23 countries who traveled to Geneva to counter the WHO’s messaging on harm reduction! #HarmReductionWorks #COP11

“THR restrictions are tantamount to punishing people for things like wearing seatbelts. The worst part is that law enforcement is abusing these restrictions to get bribes.” - @rohseq

"Public-health advocacy should be about saving lives, not scoring political points. The moment observers put virtue-signaling ahead of verifiable outcomes, they compromise the very cause they claim to advance."

Look at the record. Countries routinely lauded in advocacy circles are not always those producing the biggest declines in tobacco harm.

These rights should be protected, not taken away. At the end of the day, consumers are the ones who take the brunt of it. More importantly, u take away the right & the option/s from those who intend to quit cigarette smoking. Awful.
Speaking truth💯@CYVirgino: “The people have the right to access these alternatives. Sovereign states need to remember that.” https://t.co/Et2ENuDt7b

I'm not saying it's bad, but it's also not all that good. I love the idea of pamphlets, but we couldve done more, included more, in it. We had the opportunity to highlight how THR plays a role in the country, esp now that we have the vape law, and we didnt.
@DOHgovph hands out brochures at WHO FCTC #COP11, outlining PH’s evidence-based actions to curb tobacco use and safeguard public health in partnership with communities, schools, and workplaces.💪🏼@DFAPHL

Your choice to keep your eyes closed and your ears covered is a clear disservice, not just to the millions of smokers globally, but to the entire populace on this planet. Wild.

The incessant gaslighting is preposterous. Consumers who have successfully quit cigarette smoking through THR. Shouldn't we be considered, our experiences? Crazy what a few clicks on Google can show you evidence and science behind THR.
.@WHO warns that the term “harm reduction” is misused to market harmful products like e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, smokeless tobacco, and heated tobacco products. Marketing tactics that put health at risk are not real harm reduction. This is not use of evidence-based methods

🚨@CYVirgino: “Consumer advocates in the Philippines are still trying to ask our government for a more balanced and impartial approach to regulation. The rules right now are very stringent...It’s not just about revenue; it’s about the consumers.” https://t.co/Et2ENuDt7b
