As part of our journey towards Truth and Reconciliation, we have been working with Scott to create a piece of art that will allow us to reflect, learn, and share with our community.

‘Reconnecting The Circle’ tells the story of how the pieces of the family circle, including the culture and spirituality that were taken by residential schools, are being reconnected and reclaimed.

While September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, at the CTCC we're committed to a continued journey of honouring the survivors of residential schools and amplifying the cultures, voices, experiences and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

We acknowledge the lasting impacts of history on Indigenous peoples and communities. We also celebrate the resilience and diversity of Indigenous cultures and languages, and we remain committed to learning and listening to their stories and voices. Hiy Hiy (thank you)
