Drastic reductions to NASA endanger U.S. leadership in space and science at a time when China and others are ramping up space exploration. U.S. preeminence in science, space, and technology isn’t an accident, but the result of a deliberate strategy to invest in science.

A change is needed to improve the U.S. government’s efforts to promote and oversee the commercial space industry. The administration should elevate the Office of Commercial Space Transportation and the Office of Space Commerce. Read more at:

The public-private partnership model has been proven out with NASA’s human exploration programs – it’s now time to look at science.

Instead of outright cancelling missions, the Administration should look at how civil space agencies can partner with commercial companies to achieve science with fewer resources – like we saw last year with Mars Sample Return.

U.S. supremacy in science, space, and technology isn’t an accident. Investments in science drive technological discoveries, which drive market growth. This outcome endangers U.S. leadership in space and science at a time when China and others are ramping up investments.
