We are watching our quality of life as Nigerians rapidly reduce;
You were probably able to afford any body spray you wanted, Rexona, Sure, Nivea but now it’s almost 4X the price then you go for the one the one that’s cheaper & maybe of lesser quality, if before, in a whole day
you don’t get pit stains & felt fresh, now it’s not so, you are carrying your deodorant around & spraying every 6hrs, most people don’t even care.
You probably used Peak milk, but now you can’t afford it & you go for one of a lower quality with maybe lesser nutrients even peak
milk has reduced their quality & quantity to adjust to the Nigerian market.
You probably always bought foodstuff in bulk, but now you enter market with 50k naira & comeback with one or two. Now you are buy in pieces to manage money & eating 0-1-0.
You are used to buying top
quality inhalers for people that are asthmatic; now we are looking for the cheapest to buy. Everyone who owns a car could comfortably drive to work & back, now you cannot afford to fuel your car. You want to travel for Christmas, interstate Flight prices are like international
Flight prices. You can’t even travel by road because the roads are bad!
Let’s not even talk about the loneliness, loss, & depression that comes from loosing loved ones to the diaspora; that annual party that’s always filled with your friends & community, it’s just you in the room
even the ones that are around are breaking their backs to be able to afford to live a life in the country so maybe they won’t make it. I can go on & on and I will still not mention all the ways how our Quality of life as Nigerians has reduced drastically.

A broad perspective gives us a better perspective. It helps us avoid reducing issues that are part of global realities to politics and makes us see that no leader, including those we like, has a magic wand, especially if they had none when in office.

The quality of products is dropping like mad too while the cost goes higher. Some toilet paper brands are no longer two ply or thick (risk of touching poop very rife) toothpaste tube mostly full of air than toothpaste... a very worrisome situation....
