@CP24 Ontario colleges are supposed to be a place for people to get a quality, hands-on education in a useful trade. Instead they have become corrupt immigration processing centres. Colleges are ruining their reputation to make a quick buck. What a joke.

@CP24 Doug Ford created a huge problem by eliminating the Wynne cap on public-private partnerships for colleges (where they license their courses to a private company - often based in a small strip mall or office park).

@CP24 They shouldnโ€™t come if they canโ€™t afford to feed and house themselves.

@CP24 Does this mean Canadian students will be on the street as residencies become prioritized to higher paying foreign students?

@CP24 Can they guarantee housing for our kids also. I know some are homeless and couch surfing just to get their degree.

@CP24 Dismantle the private college model, period!! Strip mall degrees in Brampton are the problem, if these kids get into Algoma college they should go to the main campus in Sault Ste Marie. Clearly the colleges don't want that and just want the money train with no accountability.

@CP24 Absolutely. The fact that colleges have born NO RESPONSIBILITY for affordable housing for thousands (or viability in the job market but thatโ€™s another issue) after pocketing hefty tuition has created social chaos to be cleaned up by the rest of society.

@CP24 Yes, make sure international students get accommodation, Canadian students are used to the weather, and they can sleep on the streets....
