To clarify: My emergency legislation to extend the juvenile curfew maintains the exemptions from the curfew which include employment, school activities, family responsibilities, first amendment activity, and emergencies. Additionally, the juvenile curfew zones apply to groups of
D.C.’s curfew law has always had exceptions for kids coming and going from school, religious, and recreational activities, and the expanded curfew zones only apply to groups of nine kids or more (but even then exemptions apply). Still, how the curfew is actually enforced matters.
