CCPS after-school and evening student activities are cancelled for today, Monday, December 8, 2025 due to the forecast of inclement weather. The School Board meeting will be held as scheduled.

🎉 Today marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month! Students in Mrs. Steele’s 5th grade class teamed up with Mrs. Nicholson (ITRT) to create papel picado — a beautiful traditional Hispanic folk art made by cutting intricate designs into colorful paper. 🌸🕊️

Root Beer Floats or Science....or both! 5th graders enjoyed a tasty treat this morning learning about the states of matter.

Making Geography Come Alive! 🗺️ 🧂 Our 4th graders dove into hands-on learning by crafting salt dough maps of Virginia.

Our first full week of school has been nothing short of amazing! 🎉 Kindergarten is already settling into their new routines, making friends, and diving into learning. We’re so proud of all our students for starting the year off strong—keep it up, Foxes! 🦊

This week, our students have been exploring our school theme, "Unleash Your Potential." Through engaging lessons led by our school counselor, Mrs. Breeden, they’ve been learning how to set goals, work toward achieving them, and become the best Foxes they can be!

🚌✨ Safety first! Today, our Kindergarten, Pre-K, and 1st grade students practiced their bus evacuation drills. They did a fantastic job listening to instructions and learning how to exit the bus quickly and safely in case of an emergency. 🚍👏
