This evening City of Buckeye Buckeye Valley and AFMA Fire units responded to an aircraft down South of the Buckeye Airport. A private aircraft suffered engine failure and had to make a hard landing. Two adults were able to walk away without any injuries.

Last night Engine 328 responded to a vehicle fire near S. Johnson Rd and Pima St. The vehicle was unattended at the time and the incident is under investigation by MCSO.

Buckeye Valley has deployed 3 ALS ambulances and 6 fire and medical members to support firefighters on the Bush fire. The Bush fire was sparked Saturday in the Tonto National forest and has burned over 115,000 acres. Currently the fire is only 5% contained.

BVFD has deployed an ambulance with Captain Paramedic Matt Delph and EMT Cody Taylor to the Sawtooth Complex Fire. The Sawtooth fire is burning in the Tonto National Forest near Apache Junction. The fire has consumed 21,000 acres to date and is only 8% contained.

BVFD had the opportunity to honor Anthony Moore. He joined the L.A. County Fire Dept in 1978 and served 24 years as a firefighter, medic, engineer. He retired as a fire inspector in 2002. Anthony had lived in Buckeye for the past 11 years. Our condolences go out to his Family.

BVFD along with Buckeye Fire Department on scene of a large Penske truck rollover on I-10 just west of Watson Rd. 3 adult patients were transported by ground to a local hospital In stable condition.

Buckeye Valley crews assisted Harquahala Fire and AFMA crews with a single vehicle roll over near I-10 and MP 84 in Harquahala. 7 patients, 4 children and 3 adults were transported to a local trauma center. 1 child was flown and all others were transported by ground ambulance.
