Zach Steel: Morality is like an alarm system. Individuals can become trapped in the alarm and not complete processing the moral experience. #fmhc @anzmha

A/Prof Jaqueline Drew: There can be a disconnect between the perception of the results of a decision by the executer of the decision and the decision maker. Leaders can make legitimate decisions which have real impacts on those below them creating moral injury. #fmhc24 @anzmha

A/Prof Jaqueline Drew: Organisational betrayal is a "superfactor" in moral injury. The betrayal then colours every other experience within the organisation. #fmhc24 @anzmha

A/Prof Jacqueline Drew: Organisational support is critical in moral injury. Moral injury can result from organisations and communities losing faith in first responders. Organisational betrayal is a critical element. #fmhc24 @anzmha

Zach Steele: Moral distress is a common human experience. Moral Injury is an extreme form of Moral Distress which causes harm from the moral burden. Moral injury results from moral distress in high stakes situations. #fmhc24 @anzmha

Prof Zach Steele: Service roles carry an enormous moral burden. This underpins part of the hero narrative from the community. However this is a relatively new area with limited reocngition in non-clinical areas. #fmhc24 @anzmha
