Dead ankles during performance will :
- increase GCT
- decrease performance
- increase soft tissue stress
Fix by teaching a more active ankle
Every jump, hop, skip, sprint, and bound quite literally start and end with the foot and ankle complex
Worthy time investment!

I agree. Though, a dead ankle and a full foot intentional contact are very different, in my opinion.
Any specific examples of when you’d prefer a toe down position during sports performance?

It's crazy to think initially, but it makes so much sense how weak ankles will cause weak knees/hips as well.
Been investing more time into strengthening my weak links, and it's paying dividends for my knee recovery and overall leg strength!
