This is the most entertaining Vanderbilt team since 2011-12 and I don’t think it’s particularly close.

Yet Vanderbilt got zero credit for winning a rivalry game on the road vs a Tennessee team that is 8-4, was ranked 19th, and nearly beat both Georgia and Oklahoma earlier in the year. The lack of consistency from this committee is genuinely mind-numbing.
CFP chair Hunter Yurachek: "Alabama, in a rivalry game on the road, Auburn has been an extremely tough place to play for many teams this year, such as Georgia and Vanderbilt. The committee gave Alabama respect for winning that game."

Let's forget the Vanderbilt/Miami/Texas aspect of all of this for a second... how does this committee seem look more incompetent by the week? I think I could point to one thing that they've said each of the last three weeks that makes zero sense. They're just making it all up.
Specifically, CFP chair Hunter Yuracheck said Alabama's early 17-point lead over 5-7 Auburn (which it then blew) and then the "gutsy call there late in the game to go for it on fourth and two" and the late forced turnover were what impressed the committee.

I don't know if I agree with this, but the fact that it's a very reasonable argument is an absolute joke.
I’ll tell you this, if we get that onside kick against Texas, score and win the game. We still aren’t in.

Nevermind what I said about Penn State being in trouble. This is an awesome hire for them if it happens. On the other hand, something HAS to be done about the calendar in college football. Two potential playoff teams having an interim HC is outright inexcusable.

This is the best move for both Heupel and Tennessee. I get fans frustrations, but going 8-4 after such a tumultuous offseason isn’t the disaster some think it is. Heupel has some work to do, but he’s Tennessee’s best option right now. In other news…Penn State is in trouble.
