@bbncountry
Top talent varies class to class, just because we get the top guys doesn’t mean they will be equal to the talent of past successful players. When is the last time we’ve seen a point guard like Fox or a SG like Monk?
@BrandoAKing
you are so right. they believe he can get them in the best position to enter the league. And they know Cal is a “player first” coach. He treats them like sons. KY will certainly struggle initially with recruiting once Cal retires (he’s not going anywhere). Not giving up
@TomVicini
I want Cal as coach here and want him to get things turned around, but I also understand fans being upset with him. I’m in a weird spot right now.
@BrandoAKing
(Some) fans are going to be really upset when they find out UK has had success under coaches not named John Calipari. I’m not calling for his job, but this is a soft take.
@BrandoAKing
I personally would be fine with next years class being his last chance to right the ship (assuming this year is a lost cause). But if he leaves and the recruits go as well so be it. A lot of pressure is being put on next years class to dominate. How many top classes struggled?
@BrandoAKing
Be careful what you wish for. Only Shepherd would still be coming and not only would Wagner not come but he’d probably go to UofL. The only elite talent on this team is Cason Wallace. It is full of four yr guys and that’s what fans asked for. Next yr first with elite talent.
@BrandoAKing
A lot of Apologists are gonna be upset when they see UK will continue to get great players as they always have.
Go look at Cal’s class rankings before UK & after UK, UK’s brand put him over the top as it will the next coach.
