The 2026 Not-a-Boring Competition is officially underway in Bastrop, TX! Eight student teams watched Prufrock-5 digging a test tunnel, toured the Boring Factory, and delivered their Mining Readiness Review presentations to our engineers. Beat the snail!

The Music City Convention Center Authority in downtown Nashville has unanimously (8-0) approved the Music City Loop tunnel easement - the teams will now work together to finalize the station design. Thanks to @MusicCityCenter for the great partnership.

Elon Musk says that tunnels are the key to solving traffic. "I think tunnels are going to be really important in the future for relieving congestion in cities. I hope others start tunneling companies and just improve tunneling technology."
