On January 24th my package was at my post office, just three miles away ... Now, it is in Bedford Park, IL ... what the hell is going on inside the USPS ?
This is ridiculous.
Stop with the Affirmative Action/DEI hiring.

I just received something from PA to my home in AZ and it took nearly 2 weeks. I could live without the post office...I do most everything online these days and 95% of the mail I get is junk mail.

Had something similar happen last Fall. A heavy shower door that went through 6 major Cities, got near me, and then went back to the original shipper.... no one seemed to know why. They resent and after nearly 4 weeks of trucking, finally got there. Not USPS but crazy anyway!

I go through the same thing. I live in Phoenix. The package is coming from California. It's sent to Florida to be processed and then finally makes its way back to Phoenix metro. Gets to a post office in my area. 30 min away. Takes three more days before it gets to my mailbox!

I feel your Post Office pain. I sent my daughter two packages for Christmas. I took them both to the Post Office, put them both on the counter. New York to FL. One went to Jersey, then south. The other went via California. Go figure.

Lazy and useless! Having similar problems. My biggest desire is for my aa mail lady to just close my box upon delivery. Especially in rainy weather.

It's not just that, although that is part of it. The USPS is centralizing everything. Small post offices aren't sending as much mail, or any at all. It's all been moved to bigger buildings. This is why we now get mail at 6PM where I live. π
