@UPS_Canada We'd like to take this opportunity to remind all road users that it's never okay to park, stand, or stop in the bike lanes - not only does it cause congestion - it creates an extremely unsafe obstacle for all road users.  @ups_canada, please educate your drivers. (2/2)

Bike lanes aren't delivery parking spaces! This @UPS_Canada driver parked in the Bloor bike lane (July 17) to make a delivery to one of our businesses. When asked to move his vehicle to a safe location by both BIA staff & the recipient, he was rude and dismissive. (1 of 2)

@GoodRoads @BloorAnnexBIA The Bloor Annex BIA in partnership with the city commissioned a study to investigate the economic impacts of bike lanes and traffic patterns. When we proposed the Bloor Bike lane pilot, we also proposed a rigorous third-party economic study. It was done and found a financial benefit to local businesses, on top of the significant safety improvements to ALL road users with minimal delays.

We lovingly maintain these trees so that when they're fully grown, we'll have a continuous canopy over the entire st. - which you can see starting to happen. We're dedicated to complete streets that welcome pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers - it's just good for business. (2/2)

The Bloor Annex BIA is passionate about building a vibrant main street where people are welcome to shop. A big part of that included removing cement tree boxes & installing 40 street trees in their place. The sidewalks now have more space for pedestrians of all abilities (1/2)

replacing cement tree boxes with 40 street trees; supporting installation of bike lanes; adding 300 bicycle parking spaces. Bloor in the Annex is a thriving main street -of which bike lanes are an essential part - removing the bike lanes would be an extreme step backwards. (2/2)

@moore_oliver Thank you to the @BloorAnnexBIA for coming out and saying this. Being able to ride my bike safely has meant that I can see the cool stuff going on and potentially stop. That didn't happen when I was mostly on the subway.
