I was saddened to learn of the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI a few hours ago. I urge all of our pastors, religious, and faithful to offer prayers today and during this period of mourning for the repose of his beautiful soul. May God receive him into the Kingdom of Heaven!

5 months ago I asked for prayers for my sister in Holy Cross (Sr. Suellen Tennyson, MSC), who was kidnapped in Burkina Faso. After praying and hoping for any news for months, we learned that she has been found and is safe! Praise God! Please pray for her recovery now.

Today we thank God for the redemption wrought by Jesus as we contemplate his passion & death. Sad to say, the abortion clinic here in Pensacola is open for business (while nearly every other medical services building is closed). Thanks to those whom I saw praying there just now.
