A lovely Jubilee celebration in St Barnabas Cathedral of the commissioning in Mass of 74 new Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for ministry in many parishes of the diocese. May the Lord bless all our EMHCs! With gratitude for their ministry.

A very fruitful Caritas/J&P Day held in our Spalding parish which looked at Human Trafficking/Modern Slavery & we also heard about the parish St Thomas Project. Thanks to Paul Bodenham & all involved in its preparation, especially parishioners who looked after us so well.

A very joyful celebration of Mass today as part of a Jesus Youth young families weekend Retreat at The Briars Youth Retreat Centre. It was so encouraging to join so many young couples and their families - a true celebration of the domestic Church!

It was so good to have a joint choir from English Martyrs’ & St Paul’s schools who performed so beautifully at the National Celebration of Nostra Aetate at St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham. We look to young people of faiths to take forward the work of Interreligious Dialogue.

The Manager of the Restaurant Kayal in Nottingham invited Christian faith leaders to a lovely meal to express thanks for our leadership & witness, & we in turn gave thanks to him & the staff for their welcome & tasty hospitality. It was a lovely way to bring us all together.

There was a good turn out of people for the AGM at The Briars following the Diocesan Youth Trustees Meeting. Erin & some of the team presented aspects of the review of diocesan Youth Provision and the exciting new programmes now in place. The team was later commissioned in Mass.
