Orioles simply cannot catch a break. Forearm tightness always makes me so nervous. Hoping for the best.

In the context of Colton Cowser:. Not every player is going to be a superstar. But if he can get to .775 OPS against RHP while playing elite corner OF defense. Then he’s going to be a valuable player for a long time. Even if just a strong side platoon.

Jeremiah Jackson’s emergence makes a light hitting defensive CF way more palatable for this lineup. Jackson 2nd - Westburg 4th - Rutschman 6th. Vastly improves the defensive profile for this club. Otherwise you kind of need O’Neill’s bat in the middle of the lineup.

Dylan Cease is so overrated I really hope he’s not one of the Orioles top targets this offseason. I do respect the heck out of his durability but the numbers just haven’t been there outside of 1 good season and a ton of strikeouts.

Welcome back Albert Suarez! Should be an interesting offseason for him. His role could be Grayson Rodriguez insurance especially if the Orioles only add 1 SP this offseason. If Grayson isn’t ready it could be:. Braidsh/Rogers/Acquisition/Kremer/Wells with Suarez in long relief.

Good to see Enrique Bradfield Jr. get the bump up to AAA. A .394 OPS at AA over almost 300 at bats is impressive. We know that also comes with elite speed and defense in CF. It will be interesting what the plan is long term with this outfield. Already very left handed heavy.

I keep flip flopping on offering Tomoyuki Sugano an extension. The problem is that he feels like a clone of Dean Kremer and I’m not sure a contending team can have two of them in a rotation.

To all the comments and quotes blaming Orioles front office to this. Who do you think sent him there? They are the ones that fixed it. And now he’s an ace.

Happy for smarter people on this app to correct me. But what is Dylan Carlson expected to do?. Ball was hit behind him which is the cue to advance. Even if he picks up the speed and treats it like a line drive - he’s still probably dead to rights at 2nd base. Just bad luck.

Jeremiah Jackson might be the exact kind of player the Orioles needed to bat 2nd in the lineup. Not just now. Long term.

There wasn’t a path for Roansy Contreras to stay on the roster long term. You need to fit Suarez and Wells back in. Also need spots for other young arms like McDermott. I’m not sure why they felt the need to claim Durbin but he’s just a fresh arm and will be gone soon as well.
