We found key social relationships and networks amongst supply chain actors that are used in responding to such changes. Networks containing different types of relationships often overlap, although this is not always the case and depends on the type of relationship.

We investigated how a fruit supply chain in the Western Cape, South Africa, responds to multiple changes that challenge the production and trade of fruit, such as droughts, increasing costs, and the pandemic.
