All the porch roof regulars showed up today for Thanksgiving brunch, including Nutsferatu the vampire squirrel. She says she is thankful for her den, her family, nut clusters and, most important, your veins.

Two Decembers ago, a Christmas miracle occurred when I convinced the city arborist to leave the squirrel den that was part of this tree getting cut down. Two years later, three furballs have moved in. Their furniture arrives Tuesday.
