Yesterday marked the final 'Blue Dawn' in which Marietta football athletes gathered pre-dawn at 5:15 am for conditioning. The pace furious, intensity high, energy flowing, with renewed focus and restored excitement. Next up: spring drills commence April 30th. Go Big Blue.

So many firsts achieved: most wins in school history, most points scored, most offensive yards. Five honored as All Americans and Georgia's first Gatorade National Player of the Year. Several went on to enjoy successful college careers w/ some now playing on Sundays.

5 years ago after winning the 7A State Championship, Marietta headed to Las Vegas to take on west coast powerhouse Eastside Catholic in the Geico State Champions Bowl. The Blue Devils pounded the Crusaders 53-14 on national TV (espn) and finished as the #7 team in America.
