A massive shout-out and thank you to all our BLF volunteers! We might not have gotten enough photos but we sure got a lot of support from them. It was lovely to see new faces each day of the festival, helping to make every event smooth and memorable for our audiences. #blf25

Working with @punksandchancers and having festival merch for the first time has been unbelievably fun and we have loved spotting people in books bab t-shirts, carrying books bab totes and writing in books bab notepads all over Birmingham (and beyond!) #booksbab #blf25

#BLF25 Saturday afternoon we dived deep into historical places, the feeling of belongingness, and remembering the legacy of Malcolm X. We ended the day with performances in celebration of Palestinian writings at the Voice of Resistance event.

#BLF25 is a platform to grow your network and meet like-minded people! On Saturday, 11th October, we hosted the Regional Writers Meet-up with Lisa Blower, who shared her journey as a writer, and insights into the industry.

Our BLF 2025 contributors and audience were at an all time high on 11th Oct, Saturday. The weekend began with engaging creative writing workshops at The Exchange. One of the highlights was the workshop on Translating South Asian Literature, delivered by Kavita Bhanot.

Day 2 of BLF 2025 was busily buzzing with excitement and full house shows! We had such amazing discussions throughout the day, starting with Kasim Ali and Keiran Goddard, followed by Laura Bates' talk on AI, Jonathan Coe and Gina Rippon. Thank you for attending!

Birmingham Literature Festival 2025 was off to a fantastic start! Thursday night was amazing with Caroline Lea and Kat Dunn, Jenny Kleeman and Julian Baggini. It's been a dream partnering with @VoceBooks and @PunksandChancers who caused a lot of excitement in the @birminghamrep.
