When governments politicians violate their oath to work in the interest of their taxpayers, they sould be held personally responsible retroactively after their time in office, otherwise the political system is just organized crime.

Not the people of Ontario, that’s for sure. Another example of how money corrupts. We are being ruled by the few who have a lot of $. This push for development of the Greenbelt is an affront to our supposed democracy.

But it was okay 30-40 years ago? Is that how it works? I've seen farmland and forested areas decimated for road widenings, freeways and subdivisions my whole life and now it's a problem? I don't remember the outrage in the 80's and 90's.

His developer donors - pure & simple, that's who he listens to. This is what happens when people elect those who rail against 'red tape' - that tape is there for a reason - stripping it away will enrich the pockets of the few at the expense of the many.
