@atroyn @HalodiRobotics Eve has 3 unique motors. Our actuators are more part of the structure as we use cable drives, so they differ a bit from limb to limb, the same as other mechanical parts in the robot. For our next-gen biped, we have increased to 5, including hands (which would put Tesla at 7)

28 dof humanoid plus hands. we’re hearing about some of the limitations of the humanoid platform. robots are hard, humanoids are even harder

this is a *very* strange robotics presentation. not what i’d have expected. bio inspired design for knee joint. i suppose so.

comparison between car and robot power train design. they are different. interesting generative design / optimization for actuators. still a weird presentation or at least strange things to put first

six unique actuator designs, three rotary three linear. for a 28dof humanoid that’s not bad. wonder about the @HalodiRobotics comparison. i think atlas has many more unique actuators
