He brought the idea of an elite WR on a rookie deal to the forefront. He transformed that offense with Burrow. Combine that with WR’s breaking the bank on 2nd and 3rd contracts. It’s changed the landscape of the league.

Who Dey for life but stop it man, Chase isn’t the first receiver to be taken in the early rounds. I’m not even sure you have a point to be made here, teams draft the BPE all the time.

Lol. It’s not the “standard”. It’s one aspect of the game that Cincinnati helped write the final line on. The elite rookie WR is more valuable than ever w/ the landscape of the league. Some folks have to stop pretending like it’s impossible that Cincy did something right.

I think some of the deals of free agency have helped shape this. And as the passing game continues to become so dominant and NFL catches up to college it’s almost like WR will soon become the new RB where some teams refuse to pay them - if the early production continues to show
@BengalsNation8
Bit of a stretch lol we took Joe's college running mate, a 1 of a kind WR, the pick made sense for us. All the teams that took WRs needed them.
