I often feel weird about saying “we” when I talk about the Bengals. Being that Im not on the team. No hate at all towards anyone that says it (as I often do myself when I get excited), but I wondered if anyone else felt like that. lol.

@BengalsNation8 I agree but at same there is no team without the fans. Fans are the reason all this keeps going. I try and avoid saying we but I do sometimes when talking about my favorite teams.

@Colesu11y Same page for sure. I often say it. Just sometimes feel weird with it. When I played, I didn’t mind when people said it, but just popped into my mind.

@BengalsNation8 It’s a part of the fandom. “We” also includes the support base that financially invests in the team (merch, tickets, nfl package).

@BengalsNation8 I’m a chiefs fan and do it too 😂 I think it just comes with being a fan. Heck, our crowd noise comes into play, no matter what team is at home!

@lexiosborne That’s a good point! Seattle even has the “12th man”!

@BengalsNation8 I’m a big no “we”. Guess it comes from being an athlete more than anything. I’m not playing so I do “they”. But love the passion of the “we” fans!

@BengalsNation8 Used to feel weird to me too (like when I was young enough to play sports) but now that it’s the only team I root for, and I do so passionately, it seems ok. I get what you mean though

@ProfessorDraft Agree. This season especially. The fan Community was so cool and together, it felt like a sports family of sorts. Felt easier to say “we” or “us”.

@bryan7673 Yep. I get that for sure. Just sometimes hits me funny as I say it or type it. Small detail that doesn’t matter but just tweeted my thought on it. Wondered what others thought.

@thatdudeSeanD Agreed! They’re the only ones I do it for. I very briefly was a part of the Colts org back in the day and I don’t even think it for them.

@BengalsNation8 Yes!! Hahaha literally was contemplating writing “we” or “them” or “us” in response to an awesome article and post by @SportsFanCoach1 ! I say WE anyway because I’m pretty sure I have sweated & bled🩸 orange and black over the years 😆.
