Yr1 have been working very hard, they have been creating a personalised Worry Monster to share their worries with if they have any, they've been thinking about how they can send a message to a friend at a time where we cannot hug & decorating people to show who they care about!

We are starting a new & exciting venture at Barley Hill - Meet Luna, our Therapy Dog in training! Luna is Mrs Nethercott's puppy and is being trained as our school therapy dog-We will keep you updated on her progress!

We have had a lovely first day of Term 6 in school today-We welcomed back many children & are looking forward to seeing many more of you over the course of the week. Every child flourished in their hub group & left with happy, smiley faces! 😊

We would like to say a big thank you to the PTFA for our beautiful new rugs! These carpet spaces rugs have been purchased for every class in Reception, Year 1 & Year 2. They have brightened up our classrooms & made such a difference to our learning environments for the children!

On Friday EYFS enjoyed a firework themed day-We created firework pictures using chalk, shaving foam with paint and hands, glitter, created edible sparklers with bread sticks, chocolate & exploded powder paint on the floor outside & swept it, as well as splatter painting!

The start to Term has not been like any of us planned but once again the children & staff have risen to the challenge! The children in school have been exceptionally calm & focused, & the children at home have thoroughly enjoyed their daily live teaching! I could not be prouder!

Year 6 Residential - Team Dynamics...working out what makes a successful team. Perseverance was key in this task to ensure the ball travelled from one point to another without being dropped. Sometimes we don’t always achieve a challenge but learn valuable lessons along the way!
