International Surfing Day is this Saturday, May 20th! The OBX Chapter is encouraging individuals to visit their local spots and participate in solo beach cleanups. Use the hashtag #ISD2020 and tag @surfrider with your finds. @surfrider will be highlighting finds all day!.

Pick up trash on the beach and in the surf. Remove all beach furniture when not in use. DON'T release balloons. Use REEF safe sunscreens. Pick up your fishing gear when your done fishing. Use reusable bottles and bags instead of single use plastics. Stay 100 yards away from nest

June 16th we celebrate World Sea Turtle Day. Our oceans sea turtles are facing more threats in today's world then ever before from plastics, fishing gear and pollution being put in our oceans. SMALL ACTS CAN MAKE A HUGE IMPACT ON THE FUTURE OF OUR OCEANS AND MARINE LIFE.
