SWD Armed Carjacking Arrest . On Aug. 12, 2025, at approx. 4:26 a.m., officers responded to the 4400 blk of Prudence Ave for an armed carjacking investigation. On Aug. 21, 2025, Detectives arrested a 21 y/o male in the 1800 blk of Ramsay Street. He was taken to CBIF & charged.

End of Watch - Aug. 22, 2002: Officer Crystal Sheffield succumbed to injuries received approximately 12 hours earlier when her patrol car collided with another patrol car, as the two units were responding to back up another officer just before 11:30 p.m. We will never forget.
