I think the sign of a real creator is ignoring consensus and doing what you want to do. Imagine if David Cronenberg or David Lynch stooped to the masses just because they wanted to be liked? Chris Pine's a real one!
Chris Pine refuses to accept the negative reviews around ‘POOLMAN’:
“After the reviews in Toronto I was like “maybe I did make a pile of shit”. I went back and watched it. I fucking love this film. I love this film so much.”

Honestly maybe the movie is bad but this is a good mentality to foster. Not combative about it, just accepts that sometimes you want to see one thing but the majority wants another
@BadFilmTakes1
Well maybe if Lynch made a film that appealed to the masses the last movie he was able to get off that ground wouldn't have been back in 2006.

Or James Cameron. Has the creative control over his own creation, and is going all-in on

. They may not be masterpieces, but he’s getting to do what very few can.
@BadFilmTakes1
Chris Pine is on the list of people that has never created or taken part in anything I have enjoyed. A complete waste of hollywood existence.

Or put up videos of them reacting to said bad reviews and trying really hard to convince you that it doesn’t affect them like Kevin Smith

It‘s one thing to realise your own vision but another not being able to evaluate a result afterwards. It‘s his right to still love his film but there should be at least the attempt to understand that other people are not feeling the same way.
