@BBCNews Taxpayers cant bailout every business. If virgin cant furlough its staff and survive then it's not worth saving especially when part owned by foreign company Delta. Thomas Cook part owned by German firm!!! Cant let Delta benefit financially from uk taxpayer

@BBCNews Sad ,sounds a tiny bit like a fishing expedition though,UK has made large sums available for loans so already there ,the salvation can be hiding. I say in a diversified grop where, among the assets are, "over 100 National Health Service (NHS) services in the United Kingdom

@BBCNews He doesnt have ยฃ4billion in the bank. His shares in virgin are most likely worth billions. A bailout would protect that. Donate your shares Branson to taxpayer then we take ownership and bailout the company and protect virgin jobs. Bransons net worth then = a few hundred million

@BBCNews Here you go people a socialist labour supporter wanting a bailout of a business he has a huge amount of his net worth invested in by the taxpayer. We should not bailout to protect his fortune. He is a uk tax exile in other words he doesnt pay any. Take his shareholding for bailout

@BBCNews @richardbranson is a multi billionaire so doesnโ€™t it make more sense to inject few millions in @VirginActiveUK to save it from collapse instead of putting burden on tax payers to fund his business?

@BBCNews Maybe his airline should have put something away for a rainy day or had less avocado on toast. I bet it's got a new smartphone and can afford to go clubbing every week.

@BBCNews Nothing to see here. Just a phenomenally wealthy greedy man protecting his own wealth at all costs. He just doesnโ€™t want to spend ANY of his own accrued gold.

@BBCNews Doesn't pay UK tax, sued the NHS and funded that dreadful Miller woman in an attempt to stop Brexit. The government should not fund any business that doesn't pay tax in the UK.
