Please remember to have your photo ID ready, along with your signed entrance pass! Assateague Island NS annual passes are $45 and the Annual America the Beautiful pass is $80.

Assateague Island (MD Unit) will reopen at Noon today (1-30-22). Roads will be plowed by then some will remain snow covered, so drive very carefully. Current temp on the island is about 10F with about 12" of fresh snow. OSV zone will remain closed until conditions are assessed.

On the NORTH end of the island, the bayside of the island through the dunes & out onto the beach above the high tide line is closed to exploring until 9/15 or there about. This closure is in place to protect birds that lay their eggs on the sand or among the grasses in the dunes.
