Not nearly enough discussion on how much ladder pulling has occurred over the last 20-30 years.
Management pulled the ladder up behind them. Specialist roles have been cripple by overseas scab labour. They will all retire and you expect a bunch of MBAs who have never worked a real job to keep the lights on?

@pbprot Organizations used to have training or at least orientation programs. First thing they'd tell you is, "Forget everything you learned in school."

Yeah, companies are just going to have to get used to the idea of building some redundancy in at the middle levels of their structure so that people have enough time to do their work and train other people. Sorry, but it’s time to grow up

Since we were just talking about @JohnCleese's performance in the James Bond franchise, I would like to take a moment and remind him that your internets are forever. Just like he will, apparently, forever be a fucking knob.

One thing we need more of in modern anime is the way older stuff like Slayers could make generic hairstyles (in this case everyone just having long hair with it down) a memorable part of a character design just through the line work.

Minakai Vol. 1 is now off Kindle Unlimited and once again free to read on Royal Road! The other four volumes will join it by the end of the year. It's still available on Amazon, but I've temporarily opted out of KU terms. https://t.co/Ny89lUf3oD

The third film was a proper send off to this franchise and Pixar ruined that for greed

The only solution is to stream/record the work. When I work with untrusted and new artists I actually run a few ideas through AI so I know what AI can do. People are just morons.

Read your Kickstarter copy already? Please do my a massive favour and leave a rating or review. The first couple of weeks of release is the algorithm sweet spot, and it's especially helpful for indies who have limited marketing budgets.
When Jeff fuses with a metal alien, he gains superpowers. Taking on the mantle of Silver Buster, Jeff leads the fight against the Kryn Mercenaries and the fearsome Captain Zaneck. The Kryn, however, will not back down easily. Silver Buster, out now! https://t.co/IYhZw00zKB

Too many of modern creative media's tastemakers are snobs with this uptight Ricky Gervais kind of mindset. No sense of enchantment, no imagination. Just a personal mission to be validated for making "gritty" arthouse stage plays and Oscar bait.
The reason so many movies are boring and stupid these days is that people have forgotten the value of joy and whimsy
