Wow. Florida really stands out here.
“Affordable” is such a loaded word in apartments, that it’s nearly useless. It’s just an opinion or comparison (less affordable than 2021, more affordable than existing stock etc)
And when someone uses the technical definition, they always have to specify what they actually mean

That’s wild. Folks say “Don’t CA my FL.” Well, looking at CA and FL on this map, I think it has already happened

It's brutal out here. I own my home thankfully but looking for a place for my FIL who is on a modest fixed income is nearly impossible even when we look well outside the prime areas. Even Pinellas Park and upper middle peninsula are wildly expensive

These reports are generally in gross income instead of net, so it's probably even worst than it appears.

It does and Florida needs to build more diverse housing, but this is an income problem more than a housing problem
